Dr. Marije van Dalen is a postdoctoral researcher and principal investigator specialising in digital mental health interventions and the impact of digital environments on adolescents. She is a principal investigator on the Your Bridge Project, in which she has developed a preconsultation chatbot for adolescents with a chronic illness that have been referred to psychological care. Other work includes the Grow It! app, an RCT on a preventive mobile Health app for children aged 10 to 18.

She obtained her PhD in paediatric psychology in January 2022. Her PhD thesis focused on an online psychological intervention for adolescents with a visible difference, as well as the mental well-being of parents of children with a visible difference. As part of her PhD, she spent three months at the Center for Appearance Research in Bristol, England.
